SciFest Welcomes Aoife Wadd as Programme Coordinator
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Aoife Wadd as a Project Coordinator at SciFest.
Aoife is a recent Zoology graduate from Trinity College Dublin, where she developed a strong interest in ecology, conservation, and animal welfare. Her academic background is complemented by hands-on experience in wildlife care, including field research at Dublin Zoo and volunteering with the ISPCA and BirdWatch Ireland. She has also worked with a large team of huskies in Lapland, gaining valuable experience in animal care and kennel management.
Alongside her scientific interests, Aoife is passionate about STEM education and youth engagement. She has several years’ experience working with young people through organisations such as Coláiste na bhFiann and as a karate instructor. Aoife is particularly committed to encouraging girls to explore opportunities in science, and she brings great enthusiasm for promoting STEM in inclusive and accessible ways.
We are delighted to welcome Aoife to the SciFest team and look forward to the energy and fresh perspective she will bring to our work supporting young people across Ireland to discover the excitement of STEM.
