Project Blogger
About Project Blogger
Project Blogger, a Discover Science and Engineering project was piloted in a number of second-level schools in 2007-2008. The aim is to provide students with a web space to create their own science blogs and share their experiences in science with classmates from their own school and from other schools around Ireland. Science blogs can range from curriculum experiments to transition year experiments, SciFest, BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition, science construction projects or even just a science conversation!
Discover Sensors Award
One of the criteria for receiving the Discover Sensors Award www.discoversensors.ie is for students to keep a blog of their SciFest project. The blog makes it easy for students to store their SciFest project images, ideas, graphs, video files etc. as part of their online science diary. They can then use the blog as part of their demonstration at the SciFest event.
Teachers can set-up blog accounts for themselves and their students on Project Blogger
Check out the SciFest area to see examples of last year’s SciFest student blogs! Scifest student blogs!
All SciFest competition entrants, even those not entering for the Discover Sensors Award are very welcome to set up a blog with their teacher so get blogging!
